The positions involve varying tasks where one is challenged both professionally and personally.

The administration department of the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources consists of dedicated employees who work closely together both internally within the administration and across the various departments. We are therefore looking for a colleague who can join the department with professional competence, a desire to collaborate, and a good sense of humor.

  • Economic responsibilities include, among other things: Cost analyses and control of business processes
  • Control of the daily operations in Pinngortitaleriffik
  • Budget and accounts
  • Ongoing invoice approval and bookkeeping
  • Different billings
  • Secretariat function (journal, archive, telephone, shared mailbox, booking administration)
  • Management of cash register
  • Ongoing development and maintenance of effective administrative procedures
  • Assist in reporting EU funds
  • Assist in communication between the institute's shipping office and our ships (MARAD)
  • HR responsibilities include: Supporting leaders in recruitment processes, including quality assurance of job postings, screening of applicants, planning and participating in job interviews.
  • Manage payroll information, vacation, sick leave, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and agreements.
  • Implement personnel policies and provide HR professional support in connection with daily operations.
  • Be a sparring partner for leaders and employees in personnel-related issues.
  • Assist with terminations, severance agreements, and senior arrangements, as well as actively participate in the associated conversations.
  • Desired qualifications: You have a relevant education as a business economist, HD, or similar.
  • Extensive experience in public administration, including finance and HR
  • Systematic workflow, overview, sense of order, and sense of responsibility
  • Knowledge of IT systems (Microsoft Office, booking system Picasso, IRIS, ERP, etc.)
  • Service-oriented
  • Ability to work flexibly in a changing everyday life
  • High work capacity

Knowledge of Greenlandic culture and the Greenlandic society is a prerequisite.

You will both need to work on solving the office's overall administrative tasks and have your own specific areas of responsibility.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
