What is HireMe.gl?
HireMe.gl is Greenland's largest online job portal, connecting employers with job seekers. We collect job openings from across the country in one place, making it easy to find jobs in Nuuk, Sisimiut, Ilulissat and all other towns and settlements in Greenland.
Is it free to use HireMe.gl?
Yes! It's 100% free to create a profile, search for jobs and apply for positions as a job seeker. For employers, it's also free to create a company profile and access candidates. There may be costs associated with posting jobs - contact us for pricing information.
What languages is the platform available in?
HireMe.gl is available in Danish, English, Kalaallisut (Greenlandic) and Polish. You can change the language at the top of the page.
For job seekers
How do I create a profile?
Click "Create profile" or "Register" at the top of the page. Fill out the form with your information and you're ready to search for jobs. You can add your CV and other documents after registration.
How do I search for jobs?
Go to "Jobs" in the menu. Here you can use the search function and filter by category, location, salary level, employment type and much more. You can also search for specific keywords in job postings.
How do I apply for a job?
When you've found a position you're interested in, click on the job title to see all details. Then click the "Apply now" button. You must be logged in to apply. Fill out the application form, upload your CV and any other relevant documents, and submit your application.
Can I save jobs for later?
Yes! When logged in, you can click the "Save" icon on job postings. Your saved jobs can be found in your dashboard under "Saved jobs", so you can easily return to them later.
How do I create a job alert?
In your dashboard you can create job alerts based on your search criteria. Choose category, location and other preferences, and you'll automatically receive an email when new relevant jobs are posted.
How can I see the status of my applications?
Log in and go to your dashboard. Under "My applications" you can see all your applications and their status. You'll also receive email notifications when employers update the status or send you messages.
Can employers see my profile without me applying?
Only if you've made your profile visible to employers in your profile settings. By default, your profile is private and employers can only see your information when you apply for their positions.
How do I update my CV?
Log in and go to your dashboard. Under "My profile" you can upload a new CV or edit your existing information. Your updated CV will be used for future applications.
For employers
How do I create a company profile?
Click "Register" and choose "I am an employer". Fill in information about your company, upload logo and photos, and describe your workplace. A strong company profile helps attract the right candidates.
How do I create a job posting?
After creating a company profile, you can create job postings from your dashboard. Click "Create job posting", fill in the job description, choose category and location, add requirements and benefits, and publish your posting. It becomes immediately visible to job seekers.
How long is my job posting visible?
Your job posting is active until the application deadline you specified, or until you close it yourself. You can edit or deactivate your job postings at any time from your dashboard.
How do I receive applications?
All applications to your job postings are received in your dashboard under "Applications". You also receive an email notification every time a candidate applies. In the dashboard you can read applications, download CVs and communicate with candidates.
Can I search for candidates proactively?
Yes, with a premium subscription you get access to our candidate database where you can search for profiles based on skills, experience and location. You can contact interesting candidates directly, even if they haven't applied for your positions.
How many job postings can I create?
This depends on your subscription plan. Contact us to learn about the different options and prices that suit your recruitment needs.
How do I feature my job posting?
We offer featured job postings that appear at the top of search results and on the homepage. This significantly increases visibility. Contact us for information about pricing and options to feature your postings.
Technical support
I forgot my password - what do I do?
Click "Log in" and then the "Forgot password?" link. Enter your email address and we'll send you a link to reset your password.
How do I change my email address?
Log in and go to "My profile" in your dashboard. Under account settings you can update your email address. You'll need to confirm the new email address by clicking a link we send to it.
How do I delete my account?
If you wish to delete your account, you can do so under account settings in your dashboard. Note that this will permanently remove all your information, applications and saved jobs. Alternatively, you can contact us for help.
What file formats can I upload as CV?
You can upload CVs in the following formats: PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX). We recommend PDF as it ensures formatting is displayed correctly to employers. Maximum file size is 10 MB.
Do I receive confirmation when I apply for a job?
Yes, you receive an immediate email confirmation when your application is sent. You can also see all your applications in your dashboard under "My applications".
Does the platform work on mobile?
Yes! HireMe.gl is fully optimized for use on smartphones and tablets. You can search for jobs, apply and manage your profile directly from your mobile device.
Privacy and security
Is my information safe?
Yes, we take data protection very seriously. All data is encrypted and stored securely. We comply with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. Read more in our privacy policy.
Who can see my information?
By default, your profile is private. Only employers whose positions you apply for can see your CV and application information. You can choose to make your profile searchable to all employers in your profile settings.
Do you sell my data to third parties?
No, never. We do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties. Your data is only used to deliver our service and improve your experience on the platform.
