The Tax Agency is seeking tax auditors for the control of companies, self-employed individuals, and oversight of the black economy and money laundering. You will work with data and accounts, and there will be travel activities in Greenland. Qualifications in tax law or accounting are an advantage.
The Tax Agency is seeking tax auditors for the Tax Agency's office in Nuuk or Aalborg. In the Efforts and Control department, we are looking for 3 new colleagues to oversee companies, self-employed individuals, and to control the black economy and money laundering.
The department currently consists of 14 employees, of which 5 handle administrative and control tasks related to companies and transfer pricing, 8 employees handle administrative and control tasks related to money laundering and self-employed individuals, and 2 handle management, governance, and system-related tasks. The department has employees in Nuuk, Aalborg, and Copenhagen.

The Effort and Control manages the administration and control of self-employed individuals and companies in Greenland, including Tasks related to subjective tax liability, particularly control tasks regarding the companies' possible limited tax liability to Greenland and double taxation.

Objective tax liability and deductions, including specifically the correct income earner and the correct cost bearer.

Control of commercial activities, with the aim of assessing tax liability for businesses and employees in Greenland.

Special control cases related to economic crime and money laundering.

Guidance for companies and businesses.

Administrative and control tasks related to tax returns and assessments thereof.
You will be working with data and accounts for both self-employed individuals and companies.
Depending on the nature of the inspections, there will be a number of outgoing visits, including travel activities in Greenland.
The control will involve activities in the form of decisions and case presentations, which is why it is important that you can work independently and have good communication skills in writing and speaking, preferably also in English.
You should also expect to take part in the administrative tasks that ensure that both the tax return and the assessment period proceed as planned.

Qualifications and Competence Tax law or accounting insight and experience from a similar position is a great advantage, but if you are a recent graduate with a degree such as a professional bachelor's, HD, or master's in economics, accounting, auditing, law, or similar education, we also look forward to hearing from you.

You may also have experience from another public authority where you handle legislation and provide oral and written responses.

You are good at using the Microsoft suite and quick to familiarize yourself with new systems.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the positions. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained.
