Payroll and Accounting Consultant

We are looking for a payroll and accounting consultant for a smaller team, where we help each other, share knowledge, and work together on tasks.

The position encompasses a broad portfolio of tasks within payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting. With us, you will have responsibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape your own tasks. We also work with task rotation, which strengthens the shared knowledge in the department and makes task resolution more flexible.

Your tasks

  • Preparation of salaries, both monthly and hourly wages
  • Administrative tasks in the time registration system ProMark
  • Financial bookkeeping
  • Debtor and creditor management
  • Travel expense reimbursements and fee payments
  • Other financial and accounting tasks
  • Ad hoc tasks, including contributing to sales-related tasks in connection with advertising sales during certain periods.

At KNR, you will be part of a smaller finance department, where tasks vary widely, and where your efforts can be felt in everyday life. You will have a role with responsibility and variety, and you will work closely with colleagues who help each other and share knowledge.

We have an informal tone and emphasize that there is room for both professionalism, questions, and good ideas. You will have the opportunity to develop in the job and gain insight into various areas of the finance function.

We are looking for you who have

  • A relevant education in economics, accounting, or commerce
  • Experience with payroll and preferably knowledge of collective agreements.
  • Solid skills in bookkeeping, including debit and credit.
  • Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable management
  • Good Excel skills
  • Preferably knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Dynamics 365 Business Central and ProMark.
  • Good language skills in Greenlandic and Danish

You work in a structured manner and have an eye for detail, even when multiple tasks are underway at the same time. You take responsibility for your tasks and know that payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting require thoroughness, oversight, and respect for deadlines.

You thrive on working independently, but you are also a good colleague who asks, helps, and shares knowledge. You are curious about new tasks and eager to contribute to ensuring that we work well together in the finance department.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, are in accordance with the agreement or collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
