Experienced Consultant for Finance and Procurement

SEARCH THIS POSITION The healthcare system in Greenland is in a continuous exciting development with a focus on efficient use of resources, responsible financial management, and ongoing development of financial management tools. The Finance and Procurement Department supports the Health Management with financial analyses, decision-making basis, and management of the overall economy of the healthcare system.

We are now looking for one or more skilled financial consultants to work on specialized tasks at an academic level in one or more of the following areas depending on interests and experience: financial management and controlling, budget planning, strategic procurement, and financial advisory.

Economics and Procurement is a central staff function in the Healthcare System that reports to the CFO, and the department has a total of 18 employees. The department is located in Nuuk, but we have ongoing tasks for the regional hospitals and health centers throughout Greenland.

For the right candidate with relevant experience and the necessary qualifications, there will be an opportunity for employment as a specialist or chief consultant. Regardless of the position level, you will play a central role in the continued development of the department and in supporting the economic management of the healthcare system.

The tasks vary widely, but will primarily be:

• Budget monitoring and planning of the budget process
• Reporting and working to ensure a good data foundation
• Preparation of economic analyses, including cost analyses and forecasts, to support decision-making.
• Strategic procurement, contract management, and procurement-related tasks.
• Take responsibility for finance-related development tasks across the organization.
• Be part of creating a good and constructive collaboration with other departments in the healthcare system.

• Education at a minimum bachelor's level in economics or similar (preferably cand. scient. pol., cand. oecon., HD, cand.merc., etc.)
• Super user in Excel
• Experience with financial systems
• Knowledge of SharePoint
• Ability to express oneself well in writing
• Maintains overview and progress with high quality in task resolution.
• Creates collaboration and results in an engaging and respectful manner.

Housing is allocated according to the rules in the Greenlandic Health Service that are in effect at any given time.

Salary and employment

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
