KTI Iron & Metal School in Nuuk is seeking an office manager with solid leadership experience and financial understanding. You will drive the development of the office and set the direction for the team. Responsibilities include personnel management, budget and accounting functions, and developing internal workflows. Collaboration with the education manager and reporting to the principal at KTI.
KTI Iron & Metal School in Nuuk is looking for an Office Manager. Do you have solid management experience, financial understanding, and the courage for an exciting challenge? We are seeking an initiative-taking office manager who can drive the development of our office and set the direction for the team.
With many dedicated employees spread across Nuuk and Sisimiut, KTI covers a wide range of fields such as Iron & Metal, Construction & Civil Engineering, as well as Raw Materials. Our educational portfolio also includes language courses, GUX, e-GUX, and the popular North Atlantic high school classes. We also ensure the bridge to higher technical education through our close operational collaboration with DTU on engineering education and as the home of the Technical School of Engineering.
In your daily work, you will collaborate with the head of education at the Iron & Metal School and report directly to the director at KTI.

Your tasks will be: Personnel management and responsibility for the daily operations in the office, accounting, cafeteria, and cleaning staff.

Budget and accounting function for KTI Iron and Metal School, course accounts. Reconciliation of status accounts.

Development of internal workflows and processes

Ensuring quality in the office's production

Employee development aimed at effectively solving the office's core tasks and promoting well-being among employees.

Participate in cross-departmental coordination of administrative and accounting processes between the individual departments.

Ad hoc tasks in collaboration with the HR department

We expect that you have the majority of the following qualifications and competencies: You have a relevant professional education.

You have management experience.

You have experience in the personnel administration field.

You have experience with the regulations for accounting and payroll in the public administration.

You are familiar with the financial system IRIS and Management Information.

Salary and employment conditions:
The position is currently classified as equivalent to 36. The salary with fixed salary components and personal contribution to pension in LR 36 amounts to DKK 57,102 monthly and DKK 685,224 annually as of April 1, 2025.
Employment will initially be on collective agreement terms. Where the applicant already
must be a civil servant under the civil service laws for the public Greenland, can
there will be employment on civil servant terms.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in
according to the collective agreement in force at the time of accession between Greenland
Self-government and the relevant negotiating organization.
Civil servants in the state and employees under a number of AC agreements, including.
the agreement between DJØF and the Ministry of Finance, is entitled to leave of absence without pay in
connection with employment under the Greenland Self-Government. The Ministry of Interior has also
urged municipalities and regions to show willingness to accommodate applications
on leave of absence without pay when employed under the Government of Greenland. The provisions
on leave of absence also includes spouse/partner for persons employed under
Greenland Self-Government.
The working hours are initially 40 hours per week, and the position is associated with a
availability obligation of 80 hours per quarter. The provisions on compensation for lost
Days off do not apply.

No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has
Employment in the Self-Government retains the right to assigned staff housing.
The personnel residence is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon
termination of the employment relationship.
