Qeqqata Municipality is seeking a skilled and dedicated leader for Uiaq, an institution accommodating 64 children. The goal is to create curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. You will be responsible for adhering to legislation and guidelines, and working towards a healthy and developmental environment. We offer good working conditions and opportunities for courses.

With space for 64 children, including a nursery with room for 24 children aged 0-3 years, divided into two rooms. Kindergarten with space for 40 children aged 4-6 years.

Qeqqata Municipality is seeking a skilled and committed leader. The Education area aims to create curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. It is expected that you as a leader, along with your employee and your immediate supervisor, focus on achieving these goals.

Work and areas of responsibility:

You must be responsible for following Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on pedagogically developing offers for preschool children, as well as working according to guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, children's and youth policies, and educational objectives.

We will try to create a daily life where there is a balance between familiarity based on daily rhythm/sense of time and unpredictability based on the children's influence on the institution's culture. Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Greenland Teachers' Union (NPK) and SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: by further agreement.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be assigned to the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above.

Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
