Leader for After-School Program Aarmarngaar

A leader is sought for the After-School Program Aarmarngaar in Tasiilaq for children in grades 1-3. We are looking for an educator with leadership experience who is passionate about pedagogical development and a good childhood. The position requires responsibility, flexibility, and the ability to plan and execute educational activities that promote children's social well-being.

The after-school program Aamarngaar covers children in 1st to 3rd grade.

Are you passionate about leadership and a good childhood? Do you have an overview and can you catch your own, as well as others' "balls in the air" and still smile – then you might be just the person we are looking for as a leader for our after-school program in Tasiilaq.

The after-school program is an educationally developmental offer for children in primary school (1st - 3rd grade). The purpose of the program is to develop the children's general, social, cognitive, and motor skills through structured educational activities, based on the educational annual plan. The work of the after-school program is facilitated in close collaboration with the school, both to follow up on the educational development areas and to ensure a coherent daily life for the children.

The after-school program is open every weekday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, also during school holidays.

We are looking for an educator who contributes to the user group's development of social skills and who has the ability to plan and execute educational activities that promote the target group's social well-being.

We place great emphasis on a good childhood that prioritizes professionalism, care, and presence, in order to create the best everyday life and development for children based on the municipality's view on children and anti-bullying strategy.

We emphasize that you have knowledge of and understanding of the social conditions that apply in Tasiilaq, and that you are able to tailor your pedagogical practice accordingly. In your daily pedagogical work, you will experience or acquire knowledge about things or events that may be boundary-crossing. Therefore, we expect you to be psychologically resilient, show composure, and clearly assert yourself, even in difficult situations. We also expect that you are familiar with and comfortable with your heightened duty to report.
