Assistant for Dr. Ingrid's Kindergarten

The kindergarten Dr. Ingrid is looking for an interested and committed assistant, someone who will help as needed in the classrooms.

The kindergarten is looking for an unskilled assistant who will function as a Floater; you will not be assigned to one specific room, but you will work throughout the entire kindergarten.

It is important for us that the children experience a coherent and safe everyday life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you to help create the framework and support the institution's objectives.

About the position:

Full-time — working hours are scheduled between 7 AM and 5 PM. Employed beyond the staffing norm and is associated with the entire facility. In larger institutions, the floater may periodically be assigned to one department.

Must help ensure that the children's everyday life remains stable and follows the planned schedule, regardless of whether there are sick leaves or the permanent staff is pressed for time for other reasons.

Will be able to cover the entire house with light cleaning, tidying up, help in the kitchen, as well as assistance in the living rooms, since the person knows both the staff and the children.

Special requirements for:

• Unskilled
• Proactive, initiator, and self-driven
• Has good collaboration skills and is open, adaptable, and approachable.
• Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The responsibilities and competencies of the position:

Main tasks:

• Can support the permanent staff of the rooms, so that planned activities are carried out.
• Will be able to step in and help ensure that the children's everyday life remains stable and follows the planned schedule, regardless of whether there are sick leaves or the regular staff is pressed for time for other reasons.
• Will be able to cover the entire house with light cleaning, tidying up, help in the kitchen, as well as assistance in the living rooms, as the person knows both the staff and the children.

About the kindergarten:

The kindergarten Dr. Ingrid was opened in 1960. It is the oldest kindergarten in Tasiilaq. The kindergarten is centrally located in the town, situated between the municipality, the elderly center, and the hospital.

In the kindergarten, there is room for 40 children aged 3 to 6 years, divided into two rooms.

Criminal record and child certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only take place once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a clean child certificate from the national police as well as a clean criminal certificate from the police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland or another relevant negotiating organization in Greenland.

The employment will be for the first 3 months with a probation period.
