There is room for 40 children aged 4 to 6 years, divided into three rooms.

Work and areas of responsibility:

You are co-responsible for following the Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on pedagogically developing offers for preschool children, as well as working based on Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, children and youth policy, and educational objectives, which are outlined on the Qeqqata Municipality website.

Qualifications:

• You are trained as an educator or similar.
• You can work closely with the leader.
• You can take on responsibilities in the absence of the manager.
• You are clear and can set boundaries when needed.
• You are aware of the environment in the house.
• That you are familiar with The Good Daycare Institution
• That you can have conversations with parents about children's development.
• That you can plan and delegate tasks.
• That you can create something new
• That you have an overview of tasks
• That you are stable/engaged in your work
• That you can work responsibly
• That one is positive/fresh and welcoming.
• That you can speak Greenlandic and Danish
• That you have knowledge of operating IT/computer.
• That you can be aware of new initiatives.
• That you have a recognizing pedagogical perspective.
• That you can handle stressful situations
• That you are aware of children with special needs.
• That you have experience working with children.
• That you find collaboration important and are willing to cooperate.
• You are open to new initiatives, welcoming.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Greenland Teachers' Union (NPK) or another relevant negotiating organization.

Employment: April 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
