Home Helpers for Family Center in Maniitsoq is seeking a social worker or social educator to support families in their daily lives. You will join a team focused on professional and personal development. Tasks include advising on cooking, hygiene, and parenting, as well as participating in the planning of family courses and projects.
The family center is staffed with 10 employees, distributed across different fields.
Home helpers for the family center have no management competence. You will be part of a team with other employees. We focus on professional and personal development. If you want to make a difference professionally, you have the opportunity to be part of the team.
The family center leader will be your closest guardian.
Areas of work and responsibility

To support the family in daily life, advise them on cooking, hygiene, parenting, and educational guidance.

The home caregiver should accompany the family's daily life and observe the family's connections.

Participate in the planning of family counseling in the individual families.

Provide counseling to families referred to the Family Center.

Participate in the planning and execution of relevant projects related to families connected to the Family Center.

Participate as part of the professional development of the Family Center.

Participation in the planning and implementation of projects concerning families

Participate in village tours

Participate in the planning and execution of a family course.
Qualifications

You are a trained social worker and social educator or have another relevant education.

You have experience in family counseling.

You are responsible, open, and cooperative.

You can work independently.

You are bilingual, Greenlandic and Danish.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of personal belongings, are in accordance with the applicable agreements between the Greenlandic Government AK and NPK.
Housing can be made available, for which rent is paid according to applicable rules.
Child certificate
Positions are covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has obtained a child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory child and criminal record check, which will be obtained by Qeqqata Municipality.
Commencement as soon as possible or by agreement.
Upon the prospect of employment, a child certificate and a criminal record check will be obtained.
