The education area includes primary school, daycare institutions, Qeqqani MISI, Majoriaq, as well as culture and leisure. The education manager must prioritize cross-cutting initiatives to develop the primary school with a focus on teaching, digitalization, language, and leadership development. Responsibilities include translating goals into concrete initiatives and ensuring quality standards.
The education sector includes primary schools, day care institutions, Qeqqani MISI, Majoriaq, as well as the culture and leisure area.
We wish for the Head of Education to prioritize cross-cutting and coherent initiatives in a flexible organization, which should help ensure the development of the public school with measures in differentiated teaching, digitalization, language, school-home collaboration, and leadership development across the area.
Work and areas of responsibility:

Ensure the translation of political and administrative objectives into concrete efforts and initiatives in the areas of education, labor market, and leisure.

Daily operations and management in a way that ensures an enhanced quality and service level for employees and citizens.

Be involved in development work with the focus areas of public schools, including further development of KIVITSISA in collaboration with the entire education sector.

Ensure that development takes place across the entire area, including MISI, daycare institutions, Majoriaq, and leisure and cultural initiatives in the Municipality.

Help ensure employee well-being and environment

And ensure that the budget is kept within the grant limits and coordinate case presentations to the Education Committee as well as participate in the committee meetings.

Has good professional experience in leadership within education and pedagogy.

Has good professional experience in education and the public school sector.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreements and collective agreements between the Government of Greenland and your negotiating organization.
