The daycare institution "Kanaartaq" is designed for 64 children aged 0 to 6 years, distributed across 4 rooms. The nursery has space for 24 children. The kindergarten has space for 40 children. Information can be obtained from:

Are you the one who wants to work at the Kanaartaq Daycare Center and be involved in developing the children?

Room with a lack of educators distributed by age in rooms: Kindergarten room Kakillarnat 4½-6 years, Kimmernat 3-4½ years. Nursery Kuannit 1½-3 years.

The educator in the kindergarten room Kakillarnat works with preschool children in preparation for starting school and developmental tasks in collaboration with other staff in the room.

The educator in the kindergarten room Kimmernat works with children in connection with language development as well as the development of the body and mentality towards independence.

The educator in the nursery Kuannit carries out encouraging development according to the ages and transitions of the children in close collaboration with other staff in the room.

Work and areas of responsibility:

You will be jointly responsible for compliance with Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on educational development offers for preschool children, as well as the Qeqqata Municipal Council's children and youth policy available on the Qeqqata Municipality's website and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Qualifications:

• Educated as a pedagogue/social assistant
• You have experience in the daycare sector.
• You can collaborate with different instances.
• You are familiar with the legislation.
• You can have a close collaboration with the leader.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of personal belongings, are in accordance with the applicable agreements between the Self-Government, Greenlandic municipalities, and the Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat NPK.

Housing can be allocated, for which payment is made according to applicable regulations.

Commencement April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
