Leader for the integrated institution Timmiaaqqat in Nuuk. The institution has space for 100 children aged 0-6 years and consists of a team of 25 employees. We are looking for a leader with an educational background who is passionate about leadership, teamwork, and professional development. Knowledge of IT and bilingualism is an advantage.

Are you passionate about leadership and a good childhood?

The integrated institution Timmiaaqqat has space for 100 children aged 0 – 6 years, distributed across 7 rooms. The institution is located in Nuuk and consists of a staff team of 25 employees, including the manager.

It is important for us that the children experience a coherent and safe everyday life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you, as a leader, to help create the framework and support the institution's goals.

  • Is educated as a pedagogue
  • Is clear and visible, and at the same time passionate about pedagogical leadership, team collaboration, and the professional development of employees.
  • Has good collaboration skills and can maintain an overview.
  • Can participate in pedagogical sparring and collaboration with other leaders in the daycare institutions.
  • Has knowledge of operating IT/computer
  • Can be part of the administrative and financial management work.
  • Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing option will be available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the current rules for rent payments in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If a permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to a vacant housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. Relocation travel and moving of household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
