Manager for Activity Center Naapiffik

Then you are the one we are looking for as the leader of the disability activity center Naapiffik in Qeqqata Kommunia Maniitsoq.

About the position

You will be responsible for the activity center and the disability center for adults with disabilities in Maniitsoq. You will help ensure high quality and professionalism in the assistance to our citizens, as well as a healthy working environment for the employees.

As a leader at Naapiffik, you must have close cooperation with the disability caseworker, support person, disability housing unit, the police, and the hospital.

Areas of work:

Daily operation of Naapiffik

·Employment of staff

·Conversation and development of staff

·Supervision of the finances in Naapiffik, preparation of monthly report for the manager

Encouraging users to participate in handicraft activities

Planning of this year's handicraft activities

Ordering of handicraft items

Establishment and holding of joint activities, e.g. for week 41

·individual assessment and training of all users

·Conversation with the users and then report to their caseworker, support person coordinator, or psychiatry

The leader at Naapiffik must:

·drive and be persistent in relation to the above work and areas of responsibility.

·Trained as a nurse, educator, or similar – and has experience in administrative tasks, interested in clients at Naapiffik.

Experience in coordination or management

·are cooperative and work responsibly as well as engaged and independently

can pass on information

Is creative and has the ability to encourage others

Has strong communication skills and the ability to handle conflicts constructively.

Is empathetic, resilient, and has a holistic approach to their work.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of personal belongings, follow the applicable agreement in Greenland. Housing can be provided, with payment according to current regulations.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record, which will be obtained by Qeqqata Municipality.
