In collaboration with your two deputy school principals, you must ensure good communication with the communities and be responsible for the student residence. The tasks as a contact person are divided between the two deputy school principals.
You, along with your 2 vice school inspectors and 3 department leaders, will be responsible for school development with the pedagogical direction for school-home collaboration, administration in the office, operations, finance, personnel management, dialogue and collaboration with the administration on strategic development, etc. Therefore, you must master a holistic and balanced view of the many elements of the management task, and you should appreciate the variation.
You elevate both the strategic and practice-oriented dialogues in the contexts you engage in, and it is always important to balance the relationship between anchoring and development.
As a person, you are kind, open, and positive, and you have a personality that makes it easy for you to communicate clearly and collaborate with many different people. You are good at listening and decoding students, staff, and parents, and you do this on a solid foundation of situational awareness and empathy for the benefit of all parties. You have an eye for creating followership, but you also have the courage to make difficult decisions.
It is also expected that you, as the school inspector in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, contribute to the joint school development in the municipality.
Facts:
Tasiilami Alivarpi is a municipal primary school with 313 students. There are two tracks with a total of 20 regular classes and 6 special classes from 1st to 10th grade distributed across 3 levels. The teaching staff consists of 50 educators, including 2 vice principals and one principal.
Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. Relocation travel and moving of personal belongings are provided according to applicable regulations.
