The residential unit Qinngorneq in Aasiaat is seeking a dedicated and competent manager who is passionate about leadership, development, and professional quality within the specialized social sector.
As a manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of a relatively new housing unit with diverse needs among the residents. You must ensure that the residents are treated with respect, care, and professionalism – and that the staff thrives and develops in their work.
About the housing unit Qinngorneq
The residential unit Qinngorneq is a 24-hour service for adults with permanent disabilities and a need for support in daily life. The residential unit Qinngorput consists of:
·En hovedbygning med 18 pladser
Another building with space for 10 more self-sufficient residents.
A satellite department at Qimmeqarfik with 3 residents
An associated workshop offer.
Your work tasks:
Overall responsibility for operations, personnel management, and professional development.
Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and municipal guidelines.
·Budget responsibility and reporting
Cross-functional collaboration with authorities, relatives, and external partners.
Focus on well-being, working environment, and professional quality
We expect that you:
·Has relevant social, pedagogical, or health-related education with higher education in psychiatry.
·Has experience with management and the target group (adults with disabilities or psychosocial challenges)
·Has knowledge of Greenlandic legislation in the area or is motivated to learn it.
Can work in a structured manner, motivating and with an eye for both operations and development.
Has good communication skills and can collaborate widely.

Bolig:
Housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the rules for rent payment applicable at any given time in the properties of the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality in Greenland. If permanent housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary accommodation, for which A-tax will be paid for benefits in kind in accordance with applicable legislation.
OR The start date depends on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for personal belongings are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
A staff residence must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
