Majoriaq Maniitsoq is seeking an experienced instructor for FA teaching. The position requires experience in language subjects (Danish and English) and openness to teach Greenlandic and mathematics. The teaching is exam-oriented, and experience in this is an advantage. Majoriaq is a guidance center that offers skill enhancement to citizens.
Majoriaq is seeking an experienced instructor who will be employed in accordance with AK's collective agreement or under the combination agreement within the collective agreement for IMAK.
Here, a teacher is sought who has experience in teaching language subjects (Danish and English) and must be open to teaching other subjects, such as Greenlandic and mathematics. Since the teaching in the FA line is conducted with a view to exams, it is an advantage to have experience in that.
Majoriaq is a guidance and qualification center that offers citizens in need of a skills upgrade the opportunity to participate in a course program or a graded FA program.
The FA education at Majoriaq is offered to citizens who, in relation to admission to education, need to improve their grades and/or obtain a grade. Citizens who wish to complete an FA program apply for admission themselves, and the number of accepted applicants can vary from year to year.
The following subjects are taught in the FA program:
·Greenlandic
·Danish
·English
·Mathematics and,
·Project
Additionally, there may be elective subjects such as music/song, personal development, handicrafts, etc.
We expect our upcoming instructor to be:
·Happy to teach young people and the slightly older citizens
·Someone who can independently prepare their teaching and has the courage to innovate teaching methods in collaboration with other educators.
Someone who can register absences according to protocol and hold absence conversations with the students individually.
·Is willing to help plan and participate in the monthly teacher meetings.
·Is willing to participate in the planning of a school year
There is motivation to lift together within the tasks that are under Majoriaq.
There is a willingness to be open and cooperative towards colleagues and clients.
Salary and employment conditions
Employment of teachers at Majoriaq is done in accordance with the functional agreement between the Self-Government and AK regarding the employment of qualified teachers at Piareersarfiit or in accordance with the combination agreement between the Self-Government and IMAK regarding the employment of teachers from the public school.
Housing can be provided for the position, in accordance with the applicable regulations regarding staff housing.
