Office Assistant

The residential unit PISOQ is seeking a dedicated and structured office assistant for a 1-year temporary position. About PISOQ

PISOQ is an adult service under Qeqqata Municipality, which includes residential services for citizens within social psychiatry as well as citizens with physical and mental disabilities.

The housing offers are distributed across several smaller living units around Sisimiut, each with its own team leader. In addition, PISOQ operates a housing offer for citizens with physical disabilities and mental disorders.

The administrative unit consists of three employees and supports an organization with 36 citizens in the housing units, 53 permanent employees, and about 10 temporary workers.

PISOQ also includes the activity offerings Sannavik 1 and Sannavik 2, where citizens within social psychiatry are offered activities and employment. The offerings have a total of eight employees and 38 users.

In addition, the area manages support person schemes for both children and adults. Currently, 73 citizens receive support from 45 dedicated support persons.

As an office assistant, you will be a central part of the daily administration and work closely with PISOQ's leader, the support person coordinator, and your administrative colleagues.

Your work tasks

You will have a versatile everyday life with many different administrative tasks, including:

  • Payroll processing for hourly and monthly salaried employees.
  • Creation of new employees in relevant IT systems.
  • First approval of invoices.
  • Preparation and follow-up on sick leave statistics.
  • Ordering of office supplies, care products, and other operational goods.
  • Purchasing in close collaboration with PISOQ's manager.
  • Administrative support for management and daily operations.
  • Collaboration with the support person coordinator on administrative tasks.
  • Journaling, document management, and other secretarial tasks.

The position is 40 hours a week with working hours Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • Is trained as an office assistant or has other relevant experience in administrative tasks.
  • Preferably has experience in the social, health, or disability sector.
  • Works in a structured manner, independently, and takes responsibility for your tasks.

  • Has good IT skills and finds it easy to learn new systems.
  • Can communicate well both orally and in writing in Greenlandic and Danish.

Salary and employment conditions

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The position is a 1-year temporary contract of 40 hours per week.

No housing is provided for the position.

Commencement: August 1, 2026, or by further agreement.

Criminal and child certificate

The position is subject to the rules regarding the procurement of criminal and child certificates. Employment can only take place once Qeqqata Municipality has received the necessary certificates from the Police.
