Office Assistant sought for the Department of Children and Schools. You will be part of the engine room behind the municipality's daycare, schools, and leisure services. Tasks include invoice accounting, budget controlling, and booking travel tickets. We are looking for a stable, quality-conscious, and service-oriented person with financial understanding and IT knowledge.

The Administration for Children and Schools consists of a School Department, including the Counseling Center for Children and Youth (MISI), a Daycare Department, a Leisure and Culture Department, a Department for Development, Health Promotion, and Prevention, as well as the Staff. The Staff is responsible for finance, including financial models, accounting and budgeting, case presentations for political processing, project coordination, preparation of needs analyses, etc. The department supports all departments internally in the administration regarding administrative and budgetary tasks. As an office assistant in the administration, you will be part of the staff, where work is done across the entire administration.
The department consists of two employees in finance, four AC assistants, a student assistant, the visitation team for children and youth, and the chief of staff.
The position, which is a full-time position, reports to the chief of staff.
The content of the position:
We are looking for an office assistant to handle a number of tasks, including:
·Invoice coding
·Controlling of the department's budget expenditure
·Payment of quarterly grants to self-governing institutions
·Booking of travel tickets
·Archive
Ordering of goods and office maintenance
·Ad-hoc tasks across the administration
In addition, to assist in organizing and developing the administrative tasks in close collaboration with other employees and underlying units.
You will work independently, but you will also work closely with everyone in the administration. Therefore, it is important that you also have good collaboration and communication skills.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
