Lead Social Worker

The position is a team leader/leading social worker position for the Administration for Children and Family under Tilioq in Paamiut.

The working hours are from Monday to Friday (40 hours a week).

Your areas of responsibility will primarily consist of:

Develop and maintain a high level of professional specialization

Delegation of cases

Quality assurance and management of case processes and deadlines in accordance with legislation and internal case flow descriptions.

·Exercise daily professional leadership

Control of the professional quality in casework.

Training of employees in the use of professional methods

·Sparring on individual cases

Ensure that the administrative basis is adhered to.

Ensure that internal deadlines are met.

·Implement and monitor the competence and delegation plan

·Other tasks as agreed with the department head

The Administration for Children and Family in Paamiut is both an authority area and an intervention area:

The tasks are handled by 3 caseworkers, including the preparation of social assessments, the development of action plans, work on prevention, and managing cases involving placed children and young people in foster families or residential institutions, as well as aftercare.

In addition, there are 2 family counselors and 1 youth advisor who handle interventions for referred families and children and young people.

In addition, there is 1 foster family consultant who manages the foster family area in Paamiut.

Criminal record and child certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and AK or another relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff residence is available. Relocation travel and moving of household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
