The Welfare area is seeking a skilled case handler for the Children and Family Department in Maniitsoq. You will work with processing reports and deciding on assistance measures. We expect you to have experience with children and youth, be able to work independently, and have good language skills.
The Welfare area is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and competent caseworker for the notification team under the Children and Family department.
The Welfare area consists of 25 employees distributed across the Children and Family department, the Elderly and Disability department, and the staff functions - law, finance, and secretariat.
The Child and Family Department is staffed with 9 employees, including the Deputy Manager and the Head of Department.
The nearest leader will be the deputy head of the Children and Family department in Maniitsoq.
The main tasks for the caseworker in the notification team are processing received notifications and deciding on support measures based on the notification.
Interdisciplinary meetings, preparation of action plans, and social work investigation.
Participate in urgent matters (ad hoc)
Participation in the social watch.

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate and a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
