Department Manager

Aja is looking for a department manager in a large department. Angerlarsimaffik Aja is seeking a department manager for the Large department.

Are you interested in being a department manager in a large department with 8 residents and 14 employees - and do you have relevant experience? Then you might be our new department manager?

Your tasks will be:

Daily management, supervision, and teaching of 14 employees You are part of the work schedule Scheduling Educational role model Direct resident contact The office (principal and vice principal) handles written communication with external partners

We expect that you have the majority of the following qualifications and competencies:

Professional qualifications

Educated Educator or relevant education: Social assistant or pedagogical assistant Preferably experience in residential institutions and/or experience in psychiatry

Personal competencies

Positive energy

Advantage of being bilingual

Self-awareness

That you will loyally continue the work according to our chosen method and practice.

About us:

We are a residential institution under the Government of Greenland for young people aged 14-20 - with a fragile psyche due to severe neglect in childhood - and are organizationally placed under the residential institution department in the social agency. We have 3 departments with a total of 13 residents and 21 permanent staff. The department head reports to the principal and deputy head and collaborates daily with the other department head.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
