Leader for the Meeraq Nursery in Paamiut

The Meeraq Nursery in Paamiut is seeking a leader to create a safe and cohesive daily life for 36 children aged 0-2 years. The institution has 12 employees and expects the leader to be an educated pedagogue with good collaboration skills and experience in pedagogical leadership.

Are you passionate about leadership and a good childhood? The nursery Meeraq has space for 36 children aged 0 – 2 years, distributed across 3 rooms. The institution is located in Paamiut and consists of a staff team of 12 employees, including the leader.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

It is important for us that the children experience a coherent and safe everyday life with positive relationships. Therefore, we expect you, as a leader, to help shape the framework and support the institution's objectives.

Can be part of the administrative and financial management work

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date depends on when a staff accommodation is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
