Meeqqerivik Ikinnguteeqqat, Avannaata Municipality is looking for a Sous Chef from June 1, 2026, or by agreement.
The immediate supervisor of the deputy manager is the leader Ane Zeeb Pjettursson in Meeqqeririvik Ikinnguteeqqat.
Tasks and responsibilities:
·Work based on the political objectives for the children and youth area in Avannaata Municipality
·Quality enhancement of staff's professional and personal competencies through internal and external theme days, professional activities, and courses.
Introduce new pedagogical working methods
Ensure a safe and secure daycare for children, parents, and staff.
·Prepare an information brochure about the daycare center
·Work purposefully with new ideas and policies
·Daily close collaboration with the leader
Properties:
·Educated educator
Experience with personnel management and administration in a daycare center.
Be responsible, have an overview, and the ability to empathize and adapt.
·Able to handle stressful situations and be flexible, cooperative, approachable, and stable.
·Good physical and mental health, and an open and cheerful mood
·Be prepared to work based on the daycare's objectives and action plans
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland and the negotiating organization at the time of appointment.
Housing can be provided for the position.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal record and child protection certificate, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police after the applicant's signature.
