We are looking for a dedicated and independent substitute for the leisure and sports area in Tasiilaq and surrounding villages. The position involves planning and executing activities, collaborating with local stakeholders, as well as administration and association work. Flexibility and good teamwork skills are important, and work at odd hours is expected.

We are looking for a dedicated and independent substitute for a central role in the leisure and sports sector in Tasiilaq and surrounding villages, until at least August.

The position plays an important role in strengthening and developing leisure activities, in close collaboration with associations, citizens, and colleagues.

Your tasks will include:

Projects and events:

  • Plan and implement activities that promote leisure life, including:
  • Make May Healthy
  • Children's Day
  • National Day
  • Summer activities
  • Participate in projects such as Nuannaffik
  • Collaboration with event coordinator, music school, and other stakeholders

Association work and development:

  • Update association lists continuously
  • Contribute to the development of volunteering in Tasiilaq and the settlements.

Administration:

  • Posting of invoices
  • Communication, among other things, via Facebook

Other tasks:

  • Ad hoc tasks as needed
  • Substitute function for event coordinator and department manager

We expect that you:

  • Is self-driven and can work in a structured and independent manner.
  • Has knowledge of the municipality's IT systems (an advantage)
  • Has good collaboration skills and can advise various stakeholders.
  • Is flexible and prepared for varying working hours
  • Has a driver's license (desirable)
  • Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

The position is not a classic 8–4 job – work on weekends, holidays, and at odd times should be expected.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
