Experience Creator

Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia is looking for an Experience Creator to ideate, plan, and execute cultural events. You will be part of the Experience Team, creating experiences for all users. We seek a creative person with project management and communication experience who can enhance the library's cultural offerings and engage with the community.

Experience Creator Nunatta Atuagaateqarfia, Greenland's National Library, is seeking an Experience Creator starting July 1, 2026, or by agreement.

The library is not just a place for books; rather, we embrace a wide range of cultural offerings and activities. Therefore, we are looking for an experience creator who can generate ideas, plan, and execute both large and small events and activities.

You will be assigned to Team Experiences, which is responsible for creating events and experiences for all types of users. Our tasks vary widely: from weekly children's activities to lectures, film screenings, exhibitions, workshops, and festival activities. All with an emphasis on creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.

We are also working on several larger projects, including our Repair Café, a youth project, and an upcoming comic festival. You will be a part of that.

Can you think innovatively, creatively, and with a focus on the target audience?

Your tasks will mainly be

- Strengthen the library's cultural offerings by creating relevant experiences for children, young people, and adults.

- Communicate the library's materials widely and creatively

- Prepare texts and materials for events and exhibitions

- Have fixed loan hours during the library's opening hours. This will give you a broader understanding of the users and allow you to tailor our activities accordingly.

- Network locally, nationally, and internationally in connection with events and exhibitions

 

We expect that you

- Is a librarian DB/cand.scient.bibl., cand. mag or has another relevant cultural education or event coordinator background

- Has practical experience in project management or event planning

- Has experience with creative work and is full of good ideas for various cultural offerings.

- Has experience with communication, especially on social media.

- Possesses language skills in writing and speaking at a high level

- Have respect for Greenlandic culture and will engage in the local community

Knowledge of the Greenlandic language will be an advantage, but not a requirement.

About us

The library is the public library for Nuuk and the central library for all of Greenland. It is a centrally located library that is frequently used by citizens, both young and old.

We are organizationally divided into 4 teams: Team Groenlandica, Team Nunarput, Team Experiences, and Team Service. We are a library that is the driving force behind many events, including Author Celebrations, the annual Cultural Night, and we like to make our mark in the city's other cultural life, for example, the Suialaa Arts Festival.

 

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
