The Education Agency is looking for a dedicated school consultant for our dyslexia team. You will have a unique opportunity to influence the development work around dyslexia and to help implement Greenland's national action plan for individuals with dyslexia and other reading and writing difficulties.
The position is available for occupancy on August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
The position is located in the Department of Policy and Projects and reports to the team leader/department head.

The school consultant's tasks include: Contributing to the development and coordination of innovative solutions regarding the efforts related to reading and writing difficulties.

Be a part of the development of the team/department and the national work in the area.

Advise and guide educators, educational institutions, and authorities.

Shape the development work across Greenland through close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Participate in tasks related to the political and administrative servicing of the education sector, including preparing notes, responses, reports, etc.

Participation in interdisciplinary projects and tasks – in collaboration with other school consultants and departments as well as external partners.

About you: You are a trained reading consultant, advisory teacher, special educator with further education, or academically educated in linguistics.

Is professionally and pedagogically well-founded and reflective.

Is creative and engaged in the development work within reading initiatives.

Is good at both teamwork and working independently.
About the Danish Agency for Education and Quality:
The Danish Agency for Education and Quality is a politically governed organization that works with servicing the ministry and the political level, as well as development and production. The agency is a diverse workplace with many different functions, which, in addition to more traditional agency functions, also has its own publishing house, printing facility, and information and lending collections. The agency primarily deals with public schools, boarding schools, and independent schools, as well as GUX, Attat, and NUIKI. We are about 55 colleagues who take pride in maintaining a high professional standard in an informal environment.
Salary and employment conditions:
Employment will occur on collective agreement terms according to the "Collective Agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Union of Teachers in Greenland, IMAK, for teachers in primary schools." If the applicant is already a civil servant under the civil service laws for the public sector in Greenland, employment may occur on civil servant terms.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing:
No staff housing can be allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
