Student assistant for the Nature Department – administration and nature management (CITES) Application deadline: July 5, 2026
Job interviews: Will be held in weeks 28 and 29.
Start date: By agreement
Workplace: Nuuk
Do you want to work with nature management in practice – and thrive on making tasks fit together administratively?
We are looking for a student assistant who is motivated by both structure, follow-up, and professionally meaningful work, and who has an interest in nature, international conventions, and governmental work.
With us, you will gain insight into how nature conservation and international agreements are translated into concrete work in Greenland – and you will become an important part of the daily operations that make it all work.
About the position
You will be part of the work with CITES (the Washington Convention), which regulates international trade and transport of wild animals and plants to protect endangered species.
The position gives you real contact with nature management, while your primary focus will be to support the administrative processes that ensure correct and efficient case handling. You contribute to making everyday life work by following up on cases, handling inquiries, updating informational materials, tidying up the physical archive for seized items, and thereby ensuring that both digital and physical materials are organized and accessible.
The position is approximately 10 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours during holiday periods.
