The Tourism Department at Campus Kujalleq is seeking an engaged instructor for our guide programs starting June 15, 2026, or by agreement. We are looking for a committed and competent instructor to teach in our tourism programs. You will be responsible for planning and conducting classes and exams in various subjects.

Campus Kujalleq tourism department is a dynamic educational center focused on developing and strengthening future professional skills in tourism. We are looking for a dedicated and competent teacher to take on the instruction of our programs in tourism.

Subjects or courses you can teach:

  • There may be changes to the subject list by agreement and in several competencies: Tourism-related subjects
  • Service management & customer relations
  • Organization and management
  • Creativity & Innovation

About the position

  • You will be responsible for: Planning and conducting teaching and examinations in various subjects.
  • Develop teaching materials and adapt didactics to different student groups.
  • Guided students in connection with assignments and projects leading up to exams.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with other educators and subject groups.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and motivating learning environment
  • To be a tour leader for different classes in the tourism department.
  • We expect that you: Have a relevant education in tourism such as Service Economist and similar.
  • Has teaching experience as well as experiences with
  • Proficient in both Kalaallisut, Danish, and English.
  • Is pedagogically reflective and engaged in young people's learning and development.
  • Is flexible and eager to contribute to a professional and social community.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
