The Greenland Film Institute is seeking a dedicated employee for a newly created position as AC Officer or Special Consultant. Greenland Film Institute
The Greenlandic Film Institute is seeking a dedicated and independent employee for a newly created position as an AC officer or special consultant.
The Film Institute was established on January 1, 2026, and serves as the public body for the film industry in Greenland. Throughout the year, we will financially support Greenlandic documentary, short, and feature film projects and process permits for foreign film productions wishing to shoot in Greenland.
Work tasks

Your primary tasks will be: Processing applications for the film institute's funding pools.

Processing of permits to film in Greenland and applications for refunds of fees from foreign productions.

Contact and coordination with foreign film crews, including guidance on locations, local partners, and practical matters.

Maintenance of the institute's website and application portal.
Qualifications

We are looking for a person with: A master's degree or another relevant higher education.

Experience with case processing, preferably from foundations or public authorities.

Willingness to have knowledge of the film industry and interest in film culture.

Advantage with experience in using the F2 system.
Personal qualities

We emphasize that you: work independently, organized, and structured.

Has an eye for detail and a good understanding of administrative processes.

Is welcoming and can communicate professionally with both Greenlandic and international partners.
Workplace and employment conditions
The position is located at the Self-Government, Imaneq 1, and the working hours are 40 hours per week. Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
