Kitchen Assistant/Food Handler

The nursery Paannaat in the Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Food Handler for the nursery Paannaat, who can start working possibly by agreement.

Paannaat has a total of 24 children, aged 0-3 years. Divided into 2 rooms, where they each have 12 children.

Opening hours in Paannaat from Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

The staff in the living room consists of: Deputy manager, educator, 2 social workers, 2 assistants.

Other staff: Leader, kitchen assistant, and one helper who flies.

The content of the position:

We are looking for a – preferably experienced – Kitchen Assistant to join us and take on a number of tasks including:

Can take responsibility and work independently and that you are responsible.

Close collaboration with parents & staff

·Work according to the Institution's dietary policy

The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the other employees in the work area as well as with close and relevant partners.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No housing can be provided for the position.
