Kuserneq is seeking an engaged child family advisor for our housing and treatment program for families with infants and toddlers. We work holistically with the family, focusing on the child's well-being and development. Kuserneq is seeking an engaged family counselor for our residential and treatment program for families with infants and small children.
We work holistically with the family, focusing on the child's well-being and development. We support parents in developing their parenting skills, creating structure in daily life, and understanding their child's needs and development.
About the position
As a family advisor for children, you work with the child's well-being and development as well as the interaction between the child and the parent.
Your tasks include, among others:

To support the child's development and well-being

To guide parents in understanding and responding to the child's signals

To work with interaction and mentalization
-
To plan and participate in activities (e.g. play, sensory room, and children's groups)

To contribute with observations and professional assessments
You will be closely collaborating with the team and be part of the overall treatment effort.

Adult family advisors who work with parents' personal development, structure, and daily life.
In addition, the team consists of a leader, treatment advisor, and psychotherapist, who together ensure a comprehensive treatment effort.
We are looking for you who:

Has a relevant professional background (e.g. educator)

Has experience with children, preferably infants and toddlers.

Has an interest in family therapy and interaction.

Can work both relationally and structurally
-
Is calm, clear, and patient in meetings with families.
It is an advantage if you:

Has knowledge of early development, attachment, or mentalization

Has experience with or interest in sensory motor skills and early stimulation.

Can work with structure and guidance in families' everyday life.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police as well as the criminal record from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No housing can be provided for the position.
