Deputy Chief for the Support Corps

The Department for Disability and Social Psychiatry in Nuuk is seeking an engaged deputy chief for the support corps. The position is a full-time role of 40 hours per week. You will share responsibility for the daily operations and development of the Support Corps, act as a sparring partner for the leader, and ensure high professional quality and a good working environment.

The Department for Disabilities and Social Psychiatry in Nuuk is looking for an engaged deputy manager for the support team in Nuuk. If you have experience in leadership and are passionate about making a difference for our citizens, you are exactly who we need as our new deputy manager.

The position of deputy manager is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. You will primarily have day shifts, and you will solve the management tasks in close collaboration with the leader and with support from consultants, department heads, and subject matter experts.

As deputy manager, you will share responsibility for the daily operations and development of the Support Corps. You will act as a sparring partner for the leader and contribute to ensuring high professional quality, coordination of efforts, and a good working environment. At the same time, you will support the employees in their work with citizens with physical and mental disabilities.

Your primary work tasks

·Shared responsibility for the daily management and coordination of employees' tasks

Ensure professional quality and follow-up on citizens' action plans.

Guided and supported employees in complex citizen processes.

Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of new working methods.

Ensure good collaboration with internal and external partners.

·Handle administrative tasks and act as a deputy for the manager when needed, for example during the manager's vacation.

·Has an educational, social work, or health-related qualification

·Has experience in managing or coordinating employees

Works in a structured manner and can maintain an overview in a busy everyday life.

Is appreciative, clear, and motivating in your leadership style.

·Has experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and documentation

Is robust and good at building relationships with both citizens and employees.

About us:

In this position, you will become part of a larger community: We are a department with eight residential units, five housing collectives, two activity and social offers, as well as three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Paamiut, and Tasiilaq.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
