Sungiusarfik Aaqa is looking for a dedicated cook/kitchen assistant to prepare meals for residents and staff. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM with weekend shifts every other week. Independence and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen are expected. Supervision and employee development discussions are offered.
Sungiusarfik Aaqa is looking for a Cook / Kitchen Assistant. Sungiusarfik Aaqa is a nationwide social institution with 5 departments. 4 departments with a total of 30 residents and 1 day center for 15 users. The residents have a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Aaqa is a workplace in development. There is an opportunity for supervision, employee development conversations, and relevant courses. We are looking for an engaged colleague who will actively participate in the daily tasks in the kitchen.
Work tasks
The primary tasks are to prepare food for Aaqas residents and staff together with the other kitchen staff. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and weekends every other week. Food is prepared for about 80 people, and on weekends for about 60 people, including both hot and cold meals.
It is expected that the employee can work in a busy and fast-paced kitchen.
French bread and cakes are baked in the kitchen.
Aaqa is looking for a chef / kitchen assistant who is independent.
The employee reports to the kitchen manager.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is allocated for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the allocated staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
