Kitchen Manager

The nursing home in Qaanaaq is seeking a kitchen manager for employment, with the position as manager desired to be filled as soon as possible or by agreement on July 1, 2026.

The kitchen manager's immediate supervisor is the leader of the nursing home in Qaanaaq.

Tasks and responsibilities:

·Operation of the kitchen in collaboration with the manager of the nursing home.

Maintenance of tools.

·Ordering of food items.

·Budget control.

·Stable and responsible staff.

Meal plan, staff schedule, and vacation plan.

·Kitchen apprentices.

Find a holiday substitute.

Assignment of tasks in the kitchen as well as the cleaning staff

Special requirements:

·Education as a chef or similar.

Experiences in planning and managing a food budget.

·Responsible.

Active and engaged.

·Have an overview, be flexible.

·Cooperative, accommodating, and stable.

·Physical and mental good health.

Visionary and innovative regarding healthy food.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the negotiating organization.

No housing is provided for the position.

Employment is conditional upon satisfactory criminal records, which will be obtained by the employer from the National Police after the applicant's signature.
