The position as head of the residential area for disabilities in Eqqissisimaarfik, Saattut at Avannaata Kommunia Uummannaq is advertised for filling. The position is desired to be filled by September 15, 2026, or by further agreement.
The nearest supervisor is the department head in the Administration for Children and Family Uummannaq, and the nearest employees are staff at the disability housing unit Saattut.
The following responsibilities for the immediate staff are as follows:
Ensures that the department manager is informed and updated regarding everything relevant to the housing units.
Ensures that solutions proposals are developed for issues in the residential units.
·Continuously informs about their contact with residents in the housing units and their closest relatives, especially concerning the residents' well-being.
·Continuously informs about the content of staff meetings with employees in the residential units and ensures that feedback from the municipality's political and administrative leadership is communicated to the employees in the residential units.
·Continuously informs about its collaboration with staff in other areas of the municipality related to the disability area (the disability area and financial caseworkers) as well as external partners within interdisciplinary collaboration, including through regular meetings with the department head.
·Continuously informs about the status of expenses in the residential units and contributes to statistics in the disability institution sector, including through regular reporting.
·Continuously informs about the main issues concerning the residents' funds and pocket money and explains how the issues have been addressed.
·Continuously informs about all complaints regarding care, support, and activities in the residential units and ensures that these are addressed as quickly as possible in collaboration with the department manager and relevant staff in the municipality.
Uses on-call arrangements only in connection with serious illness among residents, acute crises, etc., and at all times after prior approval from the department head in the local social department based on a written, reasoned recommendation and for a maximum of 1 month at a time.
The position is desired to be filled with the following qualifications:
-Nurse, physiotherapist, health assistant or similar.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the negotiating organization.
No staff housing can be provided.
