About the job:

You will be part of a team with skilled colleagues and apprentices and will help prepare:

  • Lunch buffet, meeting catering, and events.

We expect that you:

  • Is independent, creative, and skilled with both feet on the ground.
  • Is cooperative, proactive, and responsible, and you see your tasks through to completion.
  • Is punctual and presentable
  • Has relevant professional education as a chef, economist, catering and cafeteria assistant, or nutrition assistant.
  • Has relevant experience – preferably from staff canteen and production of daily meals.
  • Has control over kitchen hygiene
  • It is an advantage that you are fluent in Greenlandic and Danish.

The cafeteria, TAMU, is reserved for the staff of the Self-Government, as well as employees of the National Police and the Representation, and serves 150 users daily.

TAMU offers lunch buffet and catering on all weekdays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

TAMU serves high-quality food as well as good varied experiences for the cafeteria's users. This is ensured through tasty and appetizing meals that encourage healthy choices. The meals are freshly prepared from high-quality seasonal ingredients. The production is environmentally responsible with a focus on reducing food waste and using Greenlandic raw materials.

TAMU has a healthy food policy that caters to users with allergens as well as gluten and lactose intolerance.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
