We are therefore looking for a committed and development-oriented office manager who can ensure a well-functioning administration while actively contributing to the school's quality development.
As the office manager, you will be a central part of the school's leadership and will be responsible for creating structure, coherence, and effective administrative processes that support both students, staff, and the school's strategic ambitions.
Your primary areas of responsibility

Management and administration Daily management and coordination of the school's administrative and technical functions

Ensure efficient workflows, high quality in administration, and a professional service culture.

Support the school's management in ongoing operations and development.

Economy and resource management Contribute to budgeting, financial monitoring, and financial administration

Ensure proper handling of invoicing, purchasing, and accounting-related processes.

Contribute to compliance with applicable financial guidelines

Student and trainee administration Have overall responsibility for student administrative processes

Ensure proper management of student data, admissions, and student inquiries in collaboration with relevant functions.

HR and personnel administration Handle administrative personnel tasks, including hiring, contracts, and absences

Support recruitment, user administration, and other HR-related processes.

Development and quality Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and administrative requirements

Work on streamlining and developing administrative frameworks for new activities and collaborations.

About the position
You report directly to the school's principal and have overall responsibility for the administrative operations. At the same time, you will be the supervisor for the school's administrative and technical staff, including caretakers, housekeepers, and cleaning personnel.
You must ensure that the school's administration operates professionally, efficiently, and with a service-oriented mindset, while also contributing to the development of new workflows and administrative solutions that support a modern and growing educational institution.

We are looking for a person who has a relevant educational background and experience in administration, economics, or public administration.

Has experience with administrative tasks and is interested in management.

Has an understanding of economics, planning, and administrative processes.

Experience from the education sector or the public sector is an advantage.

Master the Greenlandic language in writing and speech, preferably with knowledge of Danish and English.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right verifiable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
