Royal Greenland is seeking a dedicated cook for the cafeteria at the headquarters in Nuuk. You will create tasty and nutritious meals for employees, work with both classic and new ideas, and ensure kitchen hygiene. Working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and you will be part of a team that takes pride in good food.
ARE YOU OUR NEW CHEF – and do you want to make your mark on everyday food in one of Greenland's most important food companies?
At Royal Greenland, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled chef for the cafeteria at our headquarters in Nuuk. Our current and talented chef has chosen to move to Denmark, and we are now searching for someone who wants to create tasty, modern, and nutritious food for our employees – in a company where food is not just a product, but a passion.
As one of the world's largest companies in seafood, we work every day with high-quality raw materials. This should also be reflected in the cafeteria. Therefore, we would like you to be interested in working with both classic favorites and new ideas – and perhaps find creative ways to integrate Royal Greenland's products or other local ingredients into the daily lunch, so that the food is both recognizable, varied, and inspiring.
About the job
The cafeteria serves breakfast and lunch to about 125 employees at the headquarters and factory in Nuuk on all weekdays. The working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, which provides a good balance between work and leisure.
You will report to the cafeteria manager and become an important part of a team that takes pride in good food and a well-functioning everyday life.
Your tasks will include:
-
Participate in the preparation of breakfast and lunch for the employees.
-
Contribute food for receptions and special events
-
Contribute to the planning of varied and inviting meal plans.
-
Ensure that the kitchen meets applicable hygiene and cleaning requirements.
-
Participate in the kitchen's other daily tasks, including cleaning and dishwashing.
-
Deputy in the absence of the cafeteria manager
-
You are a trained chef and have experience from a kitchen that prepares food for many people.
-
You are passionate about good, healthy, and tasty food – and you would like to think creatively within the framework of a busy everyday kitchen.
-
You are punctual, responsible, and contribute with good humor to the collaboration.
-
You naturally take initiative, see the tasks, and help where there is a need.
At Royal Greenland, you will have a diverse everyday life in a company with proud traditions and a strong focus on quality – even when it comes to the employees' meals. You will have the opportunity for both professional and personal development, and you will quickly be able to see and feel the results of your work through the daily feedback from your colleagues in the office.
Housing cannot be provided in connection with the position.
