The medical department is seeking an interpreter who can assist staff in having a good dialogue with patients.

We offer:

  • A varied everyday life

  • Influence in ensuring a high level of information and strong collegial collaboration.

We are looking for you who:

  • Has good collaboration skills, flexibility, and stability.
  • Can create good patient contact
  • Is service-minded and contributes to a good work environment.
  • Masters IT at user level, preferably at an advanced level.
  • Experience from the healthcare system is an advantage.

Work tasks:

  • Interpreting function in connection with examinations and treatment
  • Translation of informational materials and guides into Greenlandic
  • Administrative tasks in the medical department
  • Retrieve and archive records and other patient materials

The medical area is led by a chief physician and a head nurse. The medical area includes an outpatient clinic, a day ward, and two inpatient wards with a total of 32 beds, including an integrated children's ward with eight beds.

Under Medical Specialty, a wide range of medical diseases is included, such as heart patients, kidney patients, arthritis patients, infectious disease patients, and patients undergoing anticoagulant treatment.

You will be physically and organizationally placed in DIH's Medical Department, and will report professionally to the chief interpreter at Queen Ingrid's Hospital and administratively to the department nurse in the Medical Outpatient Clinic and Medical Day Ward.
