We are looking for a nurse for specialized training in anesthesiology nursing at Kolding Hospital. The training lasts 2 years and includes clinical periods and theoretical instruction. Upon completion, a permanent position at DIH is offered. Application deadline is April 1, 2026.
Are you a trained nurse? Would you like to work in the anesthesiology specialty? Are you interested in becoming a specialized anesthesiology nurse? Then you are probably the one we are looking for!
The education takes place at Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Kolding Hospital.
We are looking for a nurse to begin the Special Education for Nurses in Anesthesiology Nursing. The employment is through the Anesthesia Department at DIH. The education takes place in Denmark, Hospital Lillebælt, Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Kolding Hospital. The educational position is available for occupancy from September 1, 2026. The education will be completed from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2028.
After completing your education, you will return to the department at DIH. The anesthesia specialty at DIH represents great complexity and breadth in anesthesiological issues. Elective as well as emergency anesthesia is provided for all specialties, including orthopedic, parenchymal, gynecological, ear/nose/throat surgery, and medical specialties, for both children and adults. The anesthesia department also handles patient transports and evacuations, and anesthesia is regularly provided at regional hospitals along the coast. We receive patients from the health center in Nuuk and other hospitals across Greenland. The patient base is varied, and everyday life is characterized by unpredictability, with no two days being the same.
We emphasize patient safety, high professionalism, quality, and development.
Educational program
In the specialized education program, you will be trained to manage the functional area of anesthesiological nursing. During the 2-year program, you will go through 4 clinical periods, and you will receive guidance and supervision throughout the clinical education. To ensure that you achieve the set goals, you will review various competency cards with your supervisory team, and we will ensure to hold ongoing evaluation and education discussions.
The education includes a theoretical course that concludes with an exam. Furthermore, there is a 6-week internship at another hospital in the Region of Southern Denmark or Nuuk, so you gain a broad insight into your new specialist area.
The education concludes with a written assignment that must be passed according to the 7-point scale.
