About nursing homes in Tasiilaq:

The nursing home has space for 18 residents. There are about 28 employees at the nursing home, including a manager and an assistant manager, health assistants, health care aides, cafeteria assistants, child care workers, cleaning assistants, a caretaker, and unskilled staff.

The content of the position:

We are looking for a health assistant to join the work of providing attentive and caring support for the elderly. Good care and support are our absolute top priority, and this requires us to develop the framework for quality care and to be attentive to sharp solutions. In this development process, you will play a significant role in collaboration with the manager and other colleagues.

We expect you to work with the manager to take on the task of training and developing the unskilled staff in order to improve the residents' well-being.

The nursing home is in a development process where we focus on competence development, job satisfaction, and stability. We believe that it has a positive effect on the well-being of both the residents and the staff.

Working hours primarily include every other weekend as well as evening and night shifts (2-3 times a week).

The working hours are 40 hours.

The position reports to the daily management of the nursing home.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

For the position, housing can be provided, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the current rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered temporary accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff accommodation becomes available. A relocation travel allowance and moving expenses for household goods are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
