Students Wanted as Part-Time Employees for Daycare

Are you a student looking for a flexible student job with meaning?

The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking students for part-time work in our daycare services. The position is particularly suitable for students in pedagogy, social and health fields, or related education – but anyone with an interest in working with children is welcome to apply.

Work tasks:

• Participate in the daily activities at the daycare together with the permanent staff.
• Create a safe environment and support the children's well-being.
• Practical and pedagogical tasks under supervision

Working hours:

• Flexible part-time employment
• Working hours are planned week by week and adjusted to your study schedule.
• Possibility for extra hours if needed

We expect that you:

• Is responsible, punctual, and eager to work with children.
• Can be part of a team and accept guidance.
• Is in the process of or planning an education
• Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
