If you are looking for new challenges and are prepared to work in a very structured environment with 16 primarily treatment-requiring normally intelligent children divided into 2 departments, we may have the position you are looking for.

It is assumed that you are willing to be supervised according to the institution's treatment guidelines.

Meeqqat Illuat's pedagogy is based on:

Empathy, safety, stable and predictable frameworks, where children, through continuity and structure along with caring adults in their daily lives, including longer stays in small family-like living units in Godthåbfjorden, are motivated and empowered to receive social pedagogical treatment with a view to discharge.

You must be prepared to spend 1 week in the fjord at times.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization. The working hours are 40 hours per week.

Housing

There is no accommodation for the position.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor may occur in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Housing

An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable regulations at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable regulations for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.

Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
