We are looking for specialists in general medicine for permanent positions or temporary contracts of at least 3 months – preferably longer.

Queen Ingrid's Health Center (DIS), in Nuuk, is physically located in connection with the national hospital, Queen Ingrid's Hospital (DIH), in Nuuk.

The health center is a modern health center that provides primary health care for the Nuuk health district and associated villages. We have 10 specialists in general medicine and 13 younger doctors in the clinic.

The health center resembles a Danish general practice in everyday life; in addition, we have a duty doctor and emergency room function available around the clock, which is alternately handled by doctors employed at the health center.

This means that almost all types of patients are received and treated or referred to DIH.

We guarantee challenging workdays that will be both professionally and personally developing and demanding. A prerequisite for a good workday is your ability to collaborate with different professional groups.

Training of younger doctors.

We are approved in collaboration with DIH for the training of specialists in general medicine.

The medical postgraduate training in Greenland is organized in collaboration with the postgraduate education secretariat in Region South, Vejle.

You will experience that Nuuk is a modern capital, set in the magnificent Greenlandic nature. The city, with its 20,000 inhabitants, provides a good environment for singles, couples, and families with children. With good shopping options, restaurants, cafes, cultural and sports facilities, you don't need to be into extreme sports and polar adventures to enjoy your everyday life. Distances are short, which means you can avoid wasting time in traffic and focus on what matters.

We offer:

  • A daily life where you develop knowledge and understanding of the Greenlandic healthcare system.
  • A close collaboration with specialists from all fields at DIH
  • A job where there is always the opportunity for collaboration.

We are looking for you who:

  • Is curious, open, and interested.
  • I enjoy working together with others, including across different professional groups, and I have good collaboration skills.
  • Preferably have at least a couple of years of clinical experience and are interested in trying to be a part of the Greenlandic healthcare system.
