Disko Region
Region Disko includes the Regional Hospital in Aasiaat, 3 towns with health centers, and 8 settlements. Aasiaat has about 3,000 inhabitants, and the entire region has about 7,000 inhabitants. Aasiaat is Greenland's 5th largest town. There are opportunities to participate in recreational activities in the large sports hall, and there are several options for dining at restaurants/cafés. The staff housing is located close to the hospital. It is a culture among the staff to gather for various activities in their free time.

The work is diverse, and you will quickly feel how your role as a healthcare assistant or nurse makes a difference for the city's residents.
You will be part of a smaller regional hospital, and you can expect a daily life with a lot of responsibility.
Your tasks cover a wide area, where in addition to general nursing in the ward, you also participate in emergency room work. You can therefore expect to work with both outpatient and admitted patients.
You will be part of a rotation with every 2nd weekend and in a 3-shift system.

Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that the employment is conditional upon a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
