HR Consultant in the Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture and Self-Sufficiency

We are looking for a versatile and professional HR Consultant for the Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture and Self-Sufficiency. The position involves operational and development tasks, where the implementation and communication of HR processes play a central role. The applicant must have relevant education and experience in HR as well as strong communication skills.

HR Consultant in the Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture, and Self-Sufficiency We are looking for a versatile and professional HR Consultant in the Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture, and Self-Sufficiency. The HR Consultant's task is to support managers and employees in their daily work with a wide range of HR tasks. The position involves both operational and developmental tasks, where the implementation and communication of HR processes and tools play a central role.

  • Areas of Responsibility and Competence: Management of administrative processes in HR including recruitment and termination processes
  • Coordinate case processes with individual managers.
  • Development of employees through skills development
  • Ensure local synergies and collaboration in solving the tasks.
  • Implementation and execution of interdisciplinary HR initiatives
  • Handling of personnel legal and collective agreement issues
  • Tasks: Professional responsibility for selected HR processes and ensuring quality and consistent workflows
  • Coordination and structuring of tasks in the HR department in collaboration with the department head.
  • Quality assurance and ongoing updates of HR data
  • Daily operation and optimization of HR's administrative processes
  • Preparation of reports, KPI follow-up, and minor analyses
  • Documentation and mapping of HR processes with a focus on efficiency.
  • Ongoing update of internal guidelines, ensure that there is good internal communication in the department.
  • Coordinate internal activities in the department
  • Ongoing advice and sparring with leaders and employees on HR-related issues and strategic HR challenges.
  • Recruitment and onboarding of new employees
  • Archiving and recording of personnel-related cases
  • Travel bookings, accommodations/stays, relocation requests for new hires
  • Coordination of apprentices' internships and various apprentice events
  • Assist in the Economy, Administration, and Ministerial Secretariat with tasks as needed.
  • Expectations for the applicant: Relevant education in HR, administration, or similar
  • Experience from a similar HR position with a focus on operations and administration.
  • Good understanding of agreements and administrative HR processes
  • Familiarity with the Self-Government's procedures, rules, and systems.
  • Ability to work with different IT systems
  • Structured, service-minded, and proactive approach to tasks
  • Has a flair for building good relationships and possesses a great work capacity and strong impact.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral in Greenlandic and Danish
  • Collaborative and good at building relationships across the organization.
  • Independent and responsible with a focus on seeing tasks through to completion.

The Department of Fisheries, Hunting, Agriculture and Self-Sufficiency has 51 employees working with Greenland's food sector. The department is divided into six divisions where work is conducted in an open and informal environment, prioritizing well-being, collaboration, and professional development. Our daily work is varied and characterized by political servicing, contact with citizens, and concrete projects throughout the country.

As an HR Consultant in the department, you will be part of the department for HR, Administration, Economy, Agriculture, and Self-Sufficiency, consisting of a total of six employees, three trainees, and a department head. We focus on supporting each other in solving tasks and continuously aim to improve our processes and workflows, so you will have a significant influence on the development of the department. We have an informal tone in the department, and we emphasize well-being and collaboration.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Housing

No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
