Greenland's Self-Government is seeking a technically strong special consultant for the Telecommunications Authority. You will work with critical infrastructure, strategic advice, oversight and regulation, as well as project management. The Telecommunications Authority in Greenland is looking for a technically strong and strategically grounded special consultant who can navigate complex IT projects and legislation.
About the position
As a special consultant at the Danish Telecommunications Agency, you will be part of a small but central organization with a significant responsibility. We oversee the telecommunications and radio sectors and ensure that networks and services support Greenlandic society – from the largest cities to the most remote settlements. As an employee, you will be part of the administrative engine room where political decisions become reality. You will work closely with the political level of the Naalakkersuisut and contribute directly to decision-making bases, legislation, and strategic choices, where there is a short distance between analysis and action – and your work will be felt in both cities, settlements, and international collaborations.

Your primary work tasks will include: Strategic consulting: You will be a technical sparring partner on issues related to digital infrastructure, including networks and security.

Supervision and regulation: Monitoring of market conditions as well as technical control of compliance with concessions and legislation.

Project management and coordination: Driving force in cross-cutting digitalization projects and implementation of new technical standards (e.g., in security and internal systems).

International cooperation: Participation in Nordic and international forums, where you represent Greenland's interests in the telecommunications sector.

Preparation of analyses, notes, and solution proposals

Ongoing identification of new challenges and opportunities

Who are you?
We imagine that you have a relevant academic education in IT combined with solid experience from the IT industry or a regulatory authority.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
