At Niuernermik Ilinniarfik / Greenland Business School (GBS), we are looking for a student counselor.
At GBS, we work with young and adult students across vocational education and higher education. As a study advisor, you will become a central part of the work with well-being, attachment, and completion.
You will be part of a daily routine with close contact with the students, where relationships, clarity, and collaboration play an important role. The work ranges from guidance conversations and support in everyday life to coordination and administrative tasks.
About you
We are looking broadly, but imagine that you have experience in guidance, coaching, teaching, educational work, or similar.
The most important thing is that you can create calm, structure, and overview – and meet students in a clear and respectful manner.
It is an essential requirement that you can work in both Greenlandic and Danish. You must be able to navigate in a multilingual environment and contribute to ensuring that linguistic differences do not become a barrier to students' participation and development.

contribute to a safe, clear, and inclusive study environment at GBS
As a study advisor, you report to the head of education and participate in the daily collaboration across GBS.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
For an applicant with the right documentable competencies, employment as a special consultant, chief consultant, or senior advisor can occur in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
